Super Bowl Squares – Official Rules

Overview

This grid follows the traditional Super Bowl Squares format. Participants purchase one or more squares on a 10×10 grid for a chance to win based on the score at the end of each quarter.

Grid Format

• The grid consists of 100 squares (10×10).

• Each square represents a unique combination of the last digit (0–9) of each team’s score.

• Squares are filled on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise stated.

• Pick and open square and put your name on it. 

• You can purchase as many squares as you'd like. 

• Each square cost $20.

Number Assignment

• Team numbers (0–9) are randomly assigned to the grid after all squares are filled.

• This ensures fairness and prevents any participant from choosing squares based on numbers.

Scoring & Winners

• Winners are determined by the last digit of each team’s score at the end of:

  • 1st Quarter

  • 2nd Quarter (Halftime)

  • 3rd Quarter

  • Final Score

• Each quarter is scored independently.

• Overtime (if played) counts toward the final score only.

• There are only 4 chances to win.

HOW A WINNER IS PICKED

At each of the 4 times listed above:

1. We look at the score.  

2. We take the last digit of each team’s score.  

3. We find the square where those two numbers meet.  

4. Whoever’s name is in that square wins the prize for that quarter.

Example:  

Score at halftime:  

- Team A: 23 → last digit = 3  

- Team B: 10 → last digit = 0

The winning square is where 3 and 0 meet.

Payouts and where the money goes

• 50% of total funds collected will be donated to support the Atlanta Southsiders 9U Teams to cover uniforms, events, and training!

• The remaining 50% is paid out to winners after the game

• Payout structure:

  • 1st Quarter: 10%

  • 2nd Quarter: 10%

  • 3rd Quarter: 10%

  • Final Score: 20%

• If a square is unclaimed, the payout for that quarter carries over or is handled at the organizer’s discretion.

General Conditions

• All sales are final once numbers are assigned.

• The organizer’s interpretation of these rules is final

COMMON QUESTIONS (ANSWERED SIMPLY)

Q: Do I need to know football to play?

No. You just pick a square. The website does the rest.

Q: Do I pick the numbers?

No. The numbers are added randomly after everyone picks their squares.

Q: Can I win more than once?

Yes. If your square hits more than once, you win more than once.

Q: What if the board doesn’t fill?

It’s fine. Empty squares just mean fewer winners and more money for the team.

Q: When do I get paid if I win?

After the Super Bowl, once all scores are final
