Christmas falls on a Friday in 2026, with an NFL triple-header and five NBA games on the day itself, plus a Christmas Eve kickoff. Run a board for one game, or play the whole holiday.

How Christmas squares work
The rules are the same as Super Bowl Squares. Players claim squares, then numbers are randomly assigned to the rows and columns. At the end of each quarter, the last digit of each team's score determines the winning square. Basketball squares work exactly the same way, and NBA games have quarters too.
Example: halftime score
Packers 14 — Bears 7
The Packers' last digit is 4 and the Bears' is 7. The square where column 4 meets row 7 wins.

Choose a game and a 25, 50, or 100-square grid. Add your rules, price per square, and payouts before inviting players.

Invite your players
Share the board link in the holiday group chat or the party invite. Players choose their squares online, and you can track who has paid.

Draw numbers before tip-off
Once picks are complete, randomly assign the numbers. Use each quarter's score to find the winner and pay out according to your rules.
Playing more than one Christmas NFL game?
You have a few ways to cover the holiday. All of them work well; pick the one that fits your group.
One grid, three sets of numbers
Everyone picks their squares once. When you set up the grid, choose 3 sets of numbers, and each game gets its own random row and column numbers. The same square can win in the Bears game, lose in the Broncos game, and win again in Seattle that night.
Best when you want one link to share, one pot, and one set of picks to manage.
One grid, four sets of numbers
Add the Christmas Eve game and cover all four. Choose 4 sets of numbers when you set up the grid, and the board runs from Thursday night through the last whistle on Friday. Four games, four fresh draws, four chances for every square.
Best for a group that will watch the whole holiday and wants the biggest pool from one set of picks.
Separate grids
Run a separate board for each game. Each one has its own matchup, its own picks, and its own payouts, so people can join just the game they plan to watch.
Best when guests come and go through the day, or when you want a bigger pot on the night game. Multiple grids qualify for a volume discount.
Prefer the NBA? Basketball squares use the same grid and the same last-digit rule. Run a board for the game your group will watch, or a separate board for each of the five. Basketball scores change digits constantly, so the lead square changes hands all game long.
Either way, you handle collecting payments and paying winners; the site helps you organize the pool.
A year-end fundraising opportunity
December is when people give. Booster clubs, youth teams, PTAs, church groups, and charities can run a Christmas squares fundraiser alongside the toy drive or the year-end appeal: supporters are already gathered for the holiday, the games run from noon to midnight, and every winner announced is another reason to talk about your cause.
Example: $10 squares, three games
- One 100-square grid with 3 sets of numbers: $1,000 collected
- Your cause keeps half: $500
- Prizes: the other $500, split across the three games
